Favorite products of the moment: March

Hey gals, it's once again time to talk about my current love affairs with my products. I lied when I said I could be monogamous with them, they're all so unique and useful. Why should a girl have to stick with just one?

Hair Products

• DevaCurl & DevaCare No-Poo: That's right, I still love it, and I still use it almost daily. On days my hair is feeling a little dry, I'll grab the DevaCare. If my hair feels fine, I grab the DevaCurl. I cannot say enough about how much I love this stuff, it's moisturizing on it's own, so most of the time I don't need a rinse-out conditioner.
• Jessicurl Too Shea!! Conditioner: This is an amazing conditioner, it's rich and creamy. It provides immediate slip and moisture. I buy it in the Island Fantasy scent, and it's like heaven in my shower. It's packs enough punch to be used as a deep treatment, but it's actually a rinse-out. L-O-V-E
• Tigi Oatmeal & Honey Conditioner: I have porous hair, and it loves protein. This is a great rinse-out to give your hair a hit of protein when you need it. It's rich and smells yummy. I'll review it in-depth soon!
• Volumax Styling Glaze: This has a great light to medium hold, makes my hair shiny and keeps the frizz at bay. I will also be reviewing this soon!
• Kinky-Curly Curling Custard: Another hardcore love affair, this is awesome. I love that it's a natural product, it smells delicious, and it works wonders on my locks. This is another product that I just cannot say enough about, you have to try it for yourself. I know it seems pricey, but a little goes a long way and it lasts forever. I had an 8oz. tub for the better part of 6 months.

Skincare

• Proactiv 3-Step System: I love this, I don't understand why I see such mixed reviews on it. I know it can be quite drying, but if you follow it with a good moisturizer you'll be fine. This has absolutely made my skin better in numerous ways: no pimples, my overall skin is smoother, my pores are smaller, and the list goes on...
• Coconut Oil: This is a fantastic moisturizer. It makes my skin glow, it's dirt cheap, and it's easy to find. If you shop at Wal-Mart, it's next to the cooking oils, since it's also used for cooking with. Just make sure it says 100% pure coconut oil. This is also great at removing eye makeup, and it's a fantastic deep treatment for hair.

Confession of a product junkie.........I'm in love

Hello gals, sorry it's been so long. I have a confession today.......I'm a DevaCurl junkie. I absolutely love the entire line, and I may never turn back. The entire line smells divine, works beautifully, and makes my hair happy. DevaCurl is all I've been using for awhile now......that's right I said it, I'm monogamous. From the first time I opened a bottle of No-Poo I knew Deva was "The One".

I adore the entire line, and if you're curly, like myself, and haven't tried the line, then run out a pick some up. While I realize that what works for my hair won't necessarily work for everyone, it's worth trying. The DevaCurl line is the #1 hair care line for curlies in the U.S. for a reason.

The products are so moisturizing. If you aren't like me, and you like to keep things simple, then you can literally just use 3 products: No-Poo, One Condition, and AnGEL. However, I am a total product junkie, and I thoroughly enjoy mixing it up with my hair routine. I use almost the entire line, and I can honestly say, I love them all. I don't really use everything as directed, but I do use everything. The only Deva product that I've yet to get my hands on is the DevaFuser, and you can bet after Christmas is over, I'll be picking that beauty up too.

The reason I'm even telling you ladies this, is because I typically am a polygamist with products. I don't expect to get everything I need or want from one brand or line. Just because I adore Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream, doesn't mean I need or want the shampoo and condish to match, right? Wrong, well wrong with Deva products anyway. I could go on and on about DevaCurl all day, literally. I need some Deva friends to share the excitement, love, and relief at finally finding something that works for me, with. Any takers?

Review: Wen Hair Care System by Chaz Dean in Lavender

Hello gorgeous!! I'm back to talk to you dolls about Wen, as we all know that I absolutely love Wen, and co-washing in general. I was recently given the opportunity to try out Wen all over again, in a different formula; Lavender. The Lavender Cleansing Conditioner is for all hair types, but is extremely beneficial for dry, damaged, and wavy to curly hair.

The products I tried are the Lavender Cleansing Conditioner, Lavender Styling Creme, and the Lavender Volumizing Treatment Spray. They all smell exactly like freshly cut lavender. The first thing I noticed was that the Lavender Cleansing Conditioner left my scalp feeling cool, and refreshed, and my hair was super soft. The Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner didn't really leave my scalp feeling cool, so this was definitely different than what I'm used to. The Lavender Styling Creme didn't seem any different to me than the Sweet Almond Mint one, besides the smell of the product. Now as far as I know, the Lavender line is the only one that includes a Volumizing Treatment Spray, which says it can be used on wet hair for more volume, or dry hair as a finishing spray.

I really liked all the products, my hair was left entirely clean, and so soft. I recently went to get my hair cut, and ended up with an inverted bob, which isn't what I asked for or wanted. So now, my hair is too short in the back to wear it curly, so I'm back to flat-ironing, which is so, so sad. However, I used nothing but Wen products, and my hair looked great, it was shiny and bouncy, and smelled good. What more could a girl ask for?
